Comment protéger sa peau au ski et à la montagne ?

How to protect your skin when skiing and in the mountains?

Redness, tightness, dryness… during the winter holidays, the skin is put to the test – for this reason it will be necessary to adapt your routine. Here are the key treatments not to forget to preserve the skin barrier and keep your skin beautiful and glowing!

The key? Maximum hydration (+ protection). The more hydrated your skin is, the more it will resist cold snaps!

1. A hyaluronic acid serum (in 3 molecular sizes) to slip under your moisturizer. An essential active ingredient for well-hydrated skin that resists external aggressions.

2. A Moisturizing cream very rich and protective, adapted to your skin type.

    3. To seal in moisture (after moisturizer, but before SPF) add a few drops of a carrier oil pure and raw over your moisturizer OR mix it directly into your cream. In winter, opt for argan, hemp, avocado, rosehip or macadamia.

    4. And the must number 1 (always): an SPF 50 ! The UVA rays responsible for premature aging of our skin are just as present in winter – and even more so at high altitudes! Always apply SPF 50+ after your morning skincare and reapply every two hours.

We also protect the eye area (the most sensitive area of the face and body) as a priority by wearing sunglasses whenever we spend time outside.

The little (big) extra that will make the difference?

A moisturizing mask For pamper your skin after a long day in the mountains! We even recommend doing one every evening if your skin is particularly dehydrated. Leave on for 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs, remove and finish with a moisturizing serum and cream. This deep hydration treatment is the “external” beauty gesture that will have the most impact on your skin.

And as a reminder, good skin hydration also comes from the inside, so drink plenty of water and herbal teas during your stay in the mountains.
